Carara National Park is to the west of us, and Manuel Antonio National Park, one of the most famous and beautiful parks in all of Costa Rica, is to the east. A bit further south of us is Marino Ballena National Park, which is named after the Humpback Whales that migrate here each year from December to April.

The wildlife at Bandera Beach is amazing. Watch the pelicans fly by, Parrots, Butterflies, Hummingbirds, Iguanas and occasionally we will get visits from the Monkeys. Various species of sea turtles nest on the beach as well. Whales also migrate past out in the deep water at certain times of the year.
